| Our villa was
built by Greater Homes, one of central Floridas longest established
and most well respected builders, and was completed in March 2005.
The house is a "Gulf Breeze 2" and is the largest house type on Orange
Tree having a total floor area of 3105 square feet, with an air conditioned
living area of 2322 square feet. The house is unusual for the area
in that everything is on one level, most other 6 bedroomed properties
are on two floors with stairs, which can be a worry if you have small
children, "Buttermere" is furnished in a classic Floridian style which
was achieved with the help of a local professional interior designer,
and is superbly practical and comfortable. Living Room As you enter through the front door into the foyer you will see in front of you a formal living room. This has a 3 seater sofa which can be opened out into a queen-sized bed. There is also a 2 seater sofa, or love-seat, and an armchair. In addition you will find a coffee table and two occasional tables, together with a Sony hi-fi. This room provides a haven of peace and quiet away from the children, when they are watching TV or playing games in the family room! Dining Room To the right of the living room is a spacious open dining room with a dining table and six chairs. Family Room/Kitchen An archway from the living room leads into the heart of the villa. This a very large area grouped around a typical American open plan kitchen. There is a large oven and microwave, an oversized fridge/freezer with icemaker line,waste disposal unit,ample storage space, and enough other equipment to satisfy the most demanding chef. Facing the kitchen is the nook which is a breakfast area with a farmhouse style table and six chairs. French doors from the nook give access to the pool/patio area. Both the kitchen and the nook have ceramic tiled floors which are pleasing to the eye, but more importantly, are easy to keep clean. The family room itself has 3 and 2 seat sofas and an armchair together with occasional tables. There is a 29in cable TV and a Sony playstation 2. This is multi-regional so you can bring your favourite games with you. The TV cabinet also houses a selection of PS2 games,DVD's CD's books and guides. Access to the swimming pool is via French doors. Laundry/Garage Leading from the kitchen is a separate laundry room housing a large automatic washing machine and separate tumble drier together with an iron and ironing board should you need them! The laundry also gives access to the double garage. Master Suite Leading from the living room is the master bedroom complete with an American king size bed, side tables and dressing table. In addition is a TV/DVD combo. There are French doors giving direct access to the pool/patio area for pre-breakfast dips. At the other end of the bedroom are walk-in closets and the en-suite bathroom. This has a double size walk-in shower, roman tub and his and hers vanity units. Bedroom 2 This has a double bed, cable TV and built in wardrobes and nightstands [as do all other bedrooms] Bedroom 3 This has twin beds and a TV/DVD combo Bedrooms 4, 5 & 6 These 3 bedrooms are all twin bedded with built-in wardrobes and bedside tables etc. Bathroom 2 This is situated between bedrooms 2 & 3 and has a full size tub and vanity unit. Bathroom 3 This is shared between bedrooms 3, 4 & 5, and has a vanity unit and large walk-in shower. This bathroom is conveniently accessible from the pool area. Swimming pool The pool and lanai [patio] nestle in the angle formed by the two wings of the house and the area is fully screened to let in the sun, but keep out the bugs! .This area faces south west and is particularly sunny. If the sun gets too hot for you, there is a covered area area at the south end of the patio deck which is usually shady. The pool can be heated if required [not necessary during the summer months] and this can be arranged by contacting our management company. The pool itself is 3 feet deep at the shallow end and is 5 feet deep at the other end. For peace of mind concerning small children, there is a safety fence separating the pool from the patio area. This can be easily taken down if there are no children in your party. In addition we have installed a 4 seat hot tub to relax in while enjoying a drink, and watching the sunset! Extras We have equipped "Buttermere" with various extras for your convenience and comfort, and [subject to previous guests not removing them!] are there to be used. These include Inflatable pool toys [and pump] Tennis racquets [ 2 adult 2 children] Soccer and American footballs, basketball golf clubs and bag.
